The rest of the weekend was spent recovering, eating, and taking Buzzfeed quizzes. If reading that makes you feel old, don’t worry. So I had the honor of spending last Friday, also known as Valentine’s day with some great friends at a friend’s wedding! The bride and I had met in pre-school and have been friends ever since. Luckily, we all enjoy a good drink but that can only carry our friendship so far. Not that Jim and Yvonne aren’t fun people, we just have different ideas of fun. Living at home this semester, it is very important for me to jump on any social opportunity with peers my own age. So it’s been a while since I last blogged, but that is because I have been super busy.Īnd by busy I mean two of my best friends came home this weekend. I think I am taking this “step outside your comfort zone” as a pathetic excuse for me not being able to say no. Went in for a trial left with a $50 purchase. A similar thing happened to me at the bare minerals store in the mall. Walked up to this woman’s booth at a women’s networking event in search of a free drink and here I am. How did I get end up doing this?! You tell me. After using their samples, doing some reading and watching a DVD I will meet with a representative to discuss my thoughts on the products and the Advocare health system. My most recent endeavor (if you can call it that) is trial-ing products from Advocare. So here is to Morgan who has been keeping me sane the past few months! Here’s lookin’ at you kid (My family just watched Casablanca the other night, so that is where that came from) I also went to the bar with this chica and her dad! If I mention Ohio State, you better believe I am going to mention Nebraska. But the good news is my doctor seemed awesome and optimistic A pretty great combination. I am not going to go into many details about it because honestly I am still pretty bummed and it seems that every time I do the “tell all” I am thrown a 360. Chances are I will be having surgery in May. That’s what entering your 20’s is all about, finally learning to drive right?Īfter these two escapades south, the parents and I headed to Columbus, OH to meet with a specialist at the Ohio State Medical Center. But none the less I did it and more importantly CAN do it if the future calls me to. It just reaffirmed the fact that I hate driving. Plus this was the first trip over 10 minutes that I had made ALONE. So actually driving instead of riding is kind of a big deal for me. Id say collectively, out of all those trips I have probably driven 20 hours. Just approaching the 1 year anniversary.Īnd of course: the numerous 22ish hour drives from Rochester to Lincoln, when moving back after summer vacation. Driving through the night, 12 girls, 2 suburbans. Sole incentive, legal drinking age was 18. Honestly, I really should be a pro distance driver by now considering how many long road trips I have been apart of.Ģ2+ hours to Gulf Shores Alabama. I hate admitting he’s better at ANYTHING. I guess this forces me to finally admit I was in fact the weakest link. I drove 5 of the 20 hours this December from Lincoln to Rochester. I hate driving and opt out any chance I get. It took me 3 times and private driving lessons to pass. I didn’t get my drivers license until I was 18. If you don’t know me very well, you cannot appreciate how big of a fete this is. Which required me to drive 2 hours ALONE. Then a few days later I ventured back toward the Pennsylvania boarder to visit a friend at school. (Which is more rustic, the mug or me without makeup?. But I like turtles and it needed a home, so we’re stuck together forever. It was an impulse buy and now I am pretty sure it is one of the ugliest mugs I have ever seen. One being the candle that I have burning as I type, the other being this mug. Even she will tell you that this was a bad idea, after having it fall off at least 2 times. Never posted it, didn’t come out very good.Īnd this is how she wore her visitor tag…Rebel. Took this photo to be all artsy and post on Instagram. Staying our distance from the children.Ĭhess Board made out of glass. Tumblr is clearly mad at me for neglecting it for so long and is giving me a tough time)Īnother demonstration. (For reference, the captions go with the picture ABOVE them, despite the spacing. We visited the Corning glass museum, along with a local brewery and had one heck of a time! Not as good as Cancun, but a VERY close second. Our destination of choice: Corning, New York. ![]() Yvonne and I had had enough of dreary Rochester so one day we just decided to pack up and get away. You know what I am talking about, right? I blame it on this never-ending winter. I have been lacking the creative juices that get me bloggin. I wish I could blame it on being busy, but the truth is. What’s up blog world!? It’s been a while.
